Man, it's been what, nearly two years? Long story short, college, certain physical/mental issues, figuring out what I want to do with my life post-college, general revelations about how to be a more fully realized human being, life rambles, growing pains, etc, have all been coming at me full force.
I'm in a better place now, for sure. A place where I feel alive enough that I can actually have hobbies again. It's not much of a surprise that my first thought turned to Alfie, the poor bugger. He's nearly four now, which just boggles my mind.
He's the character that acts most as my own surrogate in the narrative in my head, and as such, he's kind of always been in a state of flux, while my other characters have remained rather more static. The older I get, the more I think it's absurd that I initially conceived of him being fifteen or sixteen years old. He's definitely gotten distinctly more cynical-old-fart in my head, and idk, I'd still like to try my hand at sculpting a more mature version of him, but for now, a new faceup will have to do.

I'm not sure how much older he looks. He does look decidedly more sleep-deprived in person because I got a little pastel-happy under his eyes. I'm also sorry for the completely generic SPARKLY DOLL PORTRAIT shot, but I am still getting back into the groove of shooting interesting doll photos.

It's nice to be back. It still feels awkward to pose and photograph these guys again, though. More faceplanting has been happening then I remember! :'D
